In my very inexpert opinion, vandaceous orchids need way more light than you could ever possibly provide indoors.
My vanda/ascocendas are grown outside in nearly full sun (south Louisiana), and that seems to suit them.
Even in a very bright window setting, I think you'll still be disappointed in their performance. This family is notorious for being heat- and sun-loving.
If you can't provide an outdoor growing area in the warm months, perhaps you could get a friend with a greenhouse to foster them for you; or trade for plants that require less sun. Bummer, huh? They are truly beautiful in flower.
