the only kids I like are my nieces and nephews. Maybe I feel I have too but they are good kids and well behaved for the most part (they are still kids). I really don't like parents. Not all parents of course, just the ones who stop everything because they've produced a needy brat who must have their undivided attention regardless of what they may be doing at the time. Nothing like having an adult conversation and all of a sudden you here, "mom, mom, hey mom" and rather than asking or telling them you're doing something, just a minute, everything has to stop mid sentence and the little brat gets whatever they want. It wasn't an emergency, it was where's my game, what's for dinner. anything to get the parents attention. Its hard not to scream sometimes. My parents never would have stood for that. It was called manners and respect! Sorry so long, been wanting to get that out for sometime! I'm so glad I found this place!!! [color:"blue"] Same here.
If motherhood doesn't interest you, don't do it. It didn't interest me, so I didn't do it. Anyway, I would have made a terrible parent. The first time my child didn't do what I wanted, I'd kill him." --Katherine Hepburn

No, not really. Me too! I don't care for babies or toddlers either!! You know I just had to find a website that had people of like mind (sort of). Now the thing is -- I just had a baby (2 month old - this is my second one and my last!) and I go on the babycenter.com website to find out info. But I can't relate sometimes because you're suppose to like kids! I feel the same way. Newborns are like little aliens. When I gave birth they wanted to hand me the baby and I said "Heck No!" I've been carrying him around for 9 months - give me my space already!!! (pregnancy SUCKS) And is it different if it's your own kid? NOT REALLY. I mean sh*t sinks! Who really wants to change a dirty diaper? If the kid is annoying - they are annoying period. Doesn't matter if it's your kid or not. I won't go into the reason why I have kids or anything about my kids because I am not trying to say anything about the kid or no kid debate. It's your personal choice. But I know what you mean. I don't like kids - but they like me! AND I'm REALLY good at the parenting thing. But I still feel the same way....I am really feeling this website. You guys are making a lot of sense to me. Because a lot of it I agree with!

Ha ha! Yeah, I'm honest - That's what everyone says. I don't hold back. I do hope you guys don't mind me being here sometimes. It's kinda strange - I know for a Mommy to be here. But I guess I'm an odd duck. Anyway, kids are strange creatures. They speak a foreign language. Like animals really. (I'd get killed over there at the baby website with the animal/child analogy....But anyway. That's what I think. But like animals they are trainable. I do think LOTs of parents and kids are ANNOYING!!!!! My sister (no kids) and I do bag on those parents and kids. SORRY. NOT PC. But it's true. I mean WTH!!! I think parents do have on blindfolds when it comes to their kids...I mean bringing them to an adult movie, all that whining and crying, being rude, oh I could just go on....Anyway, that was just a vent. There's a thread about the positive of being CF. Well I have one. SLEEP!!!!! Ha ha. You will never know how good you all have it. Now me? I do get sleep. Because my kiddies are enrolled in my Baby Boot Camp! Hee hee. All the other parents in my neighborhood are CRAZY SLEEP DEPRIVED! PS. By the way, I tell all my CF friends the same thing. Motherhood - a bit overrated! Come on it isn't that hard. AND no being a "Mother" really isn't some natural thing that says you're the most important thing to a kid. Hey It's an important role for sure but it's SO overblown in society. Like You're a "MOTHER". Know what I mean? And all those things you think when you see bad kids.....Well you're right on. Before having kids I always thought why don't these people train their kids? And of course you've got Oprah telling us "How it's the toughest job in the world" etc and so I'd say Hey I'd get those kids in line BUT I can't REALLY know 100% because I don't have kids. Guess What? Now I can say 100% - if the kid is bad - it's the parent's fault period. I would have no problem with someone saying that about my kid if they were out of line. Unless they have some medical/mental issues: bad kid = bad parent. OK no more venting for me!

[color:"blue"] Must've been a breeder, either that or some freak.
Hello, I like it when people are honest, and don't think they have to sugarcoat everything.
