I have three -- one is on my computer -- My Disk of Shadows, then I have a spiral journal notebook, which I consider my *working* BOS, then I have a huge 11x14 scrapbook, in which I am creating my *show-off* BOS...

Since I prefer to type stuff up on the computer rather than write it by hand, I do that and collect it in a notebook. So, I guess I have more of a notebook of shadows, but oh well.

Yes I am abenaki - or atleast that is what the family theory is. My mothers family is all from the central part of maine...which is abenaki, micmac, passamoquoddy, penobscot etc. I just say abenaki because most people know of that tribe. Our family (Mom's side) is Penobscot... Small world ! Gentle Light Mollimizz

I LOVE the BOS on Charmed But mine is a Brian Froud book with a Sylph on it. I couldn't figure out how to start it, so I started it with a poem from Lord of the Rings

I started mine with a poem I wrote about the elements

I am a huge fan of poetry. It makes me feel vibrant and flowing with energy when I read it out loud.

Fiona,
I have a journal where the front page is a mandala I drew with colored pencil. I figured a "dry" medium that erased a little bit would work well for me, and it did....hahaha

lol mine has plenty of colored pencil and stickers and marker etc.
We had a student for a while who was an artist and painted gorgeous goddess images and things like that in her book.
I have painted in my journals though lol

I have several Books of Shadows - and each has its place in my craftwork. For example, I have one book that is specific to my Egyptian pantheon work - their color correspondences are not the same as traditional Wiccan correspondences, so that is where I've captured such things. I have a very old book that I used in my first coven - and I occasionally reference it for spellworkings that I did back then, but otherwise, it's just more of an archive.
I'm personally not a fan of the Disk of Shadows. My tradition (so to speak) requires a handwritten bound book. As Fiona said, there is magic in the feel of ink on paper. I've used my own hand-made inks, and do have a special, charged pen that I use for writing in my book. The disk of shadows (to me - and please feel free to argue) can easily be lost (like when Fiona's laptop died), and typed words saved can easily be altered - changing forever the way it was originally written by you. *shrug* I guess I like to look back on my earlier work and amaze myself with just how far I've come.
Blessings, Autumn (who really should read and post here more ... hehe)
Senebty, (may you be well) Autumn
