What were your results? Is it accurate? And most of all did you find this to be a useful tool?

ENFP fits me to a T. When I first took the Keirsey version of the test, found in Please Understand Me II, I was 100% Extroverted, 85% iNtuitive, 50/50 on Thinking and Feeling, and about 65%-75% Perception. Nowadays, I actually fall more in the Introverted scale (probably 55% Introverted), and my Judging score may be slightly higher now. What is your MB/Keirsey profile, Jeanette?

Funny you should ask Janet LOL According to the Keirsey Sorter I am a Idealist/Counselor Type. Her is a paragraph from www.keirsey.com about my type and it is so much like me... The Counselor Idealists are abstract in thought and speech, cooperative in reaching their goals, and directive and introverted in their interpersonal roles. Counselors focus on human potentials, think in terms of ethical values, and come easily to decisions. The small number of this type (little more than 2 percent) is regrettable, since Counselors have an unusually strong desire to contribute to the welfare of others and genuinely enjoy helping their companions. Although Counsleors tend to be private, sensitive people, and are not generally visible leaders, they nevertheless work quite intensely with those close to them, quietly exerting their influence behind the scenes with their families, friends, and colleagues. This type has great depth of personality; they are themselves complicated, and can understand and deal with complex issues and people. "

All NF's are Idealists, if I remember correctly. The Counselor...that's INFP, correct? Or is that INFJ?
iNtuitives are a small part of the population since most are people are Sensors. Do you find the description of Idealist/Counselor to be accurate for you?

INFJs are counselors. I found this personality test to be the most accurate I have taken. You can find information at www.keirsey.com

INFJ too - Bellaonline Astronomy Editor....just verified still am on your recommended sites...
think when much younger may have been more INTJ or TF borderline and am lower on J now...still high IN well been that way since a child...though have confounded or fascinated professionals/analysts when working in their own fields too.... as being multifaceted as INFJs are...unless you truly personally know an INFJ they can appear somethingelse in company...as in a business professional setting you tend to keep some of your errrr more highly developed unique INFJ talents to yourself and those who know or believe,,,if you are one you know what I mean...!

I once read that, as we get older, our tertiary strengths get stronger. It would stand to reason that MB/Keirsey, like any personality system, is on a spectrum. That is, the strength and weakness of particular functions vary.

We are having a big discussion in Psychology class this week about personality tests. I find doing this kinds of tests help me to understand myself more or look at things a different way.

I'm an INFJ as well And I agree with what everyone was saying, the type can change over the years. I actually listened to a guest lecturer a year ago who said that you can use the type indicator to show you where you need to change. For instance, if I wanted saw that I was an INFJ but wanted to be more extroverted, I would know based on the questions and the analysis, which areas I would need to work on. These subjects are so interesting to me!
