I'm not the best with lists, though I need them. I forget to look at them, or else I have way too much on them and get stressed out.
I set up a series of simple lists like "FlyLady" suggests - I have my absolute must do every day list, my "Do this on Monday, Do this on Tuesday, do this on Wednesday" lists, and then bigger chores on a monthly/quarterly basis. I keep these in plastic sheets in a binder in my kitchen, and make a point of starting every day there. These keep me on top of things quite well.
Then I have my goals/dreams/"don't fit anywhere else" lists that get me in a bind. I followed the "Simpleology" course (it's free!) at
www.simpleology.com. It helps me keep track of all the Miscellaneous stuff without losing it, but also without it over-burdening my daily list. Cool stuff. If I'm disciplined about using it (I'm AWFUL with consistency, but I am getting better) I get about 6 times more useful stuff done in a day than when I don't use it.
