Your vote is an ... INVESTMENT IN A STRONGER NATION FOR OUR CHILDREN AND FUTURE GENERATIONS
Your vote is the ... HOPE FOR THE UNITED STATES TO REBUILD GLOBAL TRUST AND PEACE WITH PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD;
Your vote ... ENSURES THE PROMISE THAT ALL AMERICANS WILL BE SAFE AND SECURE, AND ABOVE ALL WE WILL KEEP THOSE CIVIL RIGHTS THAT SO MANY HAVE FOUGHT AND DIED FOR THROUGHOUT OUR HISTORY.

How are you going to lower gasoline costs except to remove taxes on gas. The other factors are not controlled by the president (whoever it is).
If you raise minimum wage many small businesses will cut back on employees. My husband and I have a small business (10 employees besides us). We are just beginning to break even after three years (this is standard).
If the minimum wage goes up we will have to lay off one of our employees and work more hours ourselves.
Do you realize that 5 times more jobs are outsourced to the US than we outsource to other countries? If we stop outsourcing many Americans may loose jobs.
Many people point to Canada's health care system. If we want to emulate Canada than we need to also emmulate it's education system which allows taxpayers to use their tax dollars to pay for church schools.

Considering what it costs to run for office WHO could but someone priviledged? Do you know Harry Truman was the last MAN( as if there weren't a choice) to be president without a college degree and virtually all of them are lawyers....there are three branches to our government: a literal system of checks and balances that is less balanced when one party controls the legislature and the white house and is also a large number of picking Supreme court justices.

Knowledge IS power...vote at EVERY level of government EVERY time...if you do not vote then you should not get to complain...it is a RIGHT that people have died to protect and continue to die for each and every day...there are people the world over that risk their lives to come here and work here and become citizens here so they can VOTE and have a say...it has worked for over 200 years...if we all continue to vote it will continue to work...we are a work in progress...VOTE...

i understand where u guys are coming from and all. i work at a factory that has sent several orders,machines,etc to china. we are in danger of losing our jobs--over 500 of us. with the minimum wage i mean more like working at burger king,etc. fast food workers dont get alot of respect, and even worse pay. i just want the world to be better for my son,etc. evryone does. but if kerry were to go thru with what he promises, id vote 4 him. best of luck with ur small business.

BottomLine Publishers Commentary by Wallace James Allen

If You Dont Vote, Your Community Will Suffer!

I still believe that your daily vote with your dollars is the most critical vote that you make. However, voting for your public officials and on the issues is a reflection of your commitment to civilization. If you have not studied the issues and candidates, your vote, though uninformed, is a better reflection than a non-vote. The only bad vote is a non-vote.

Now they are saying young people and young women STILL did not turn out for the vote. I have a hard time believing that one.

I don't necessarily blame them. I voted and where did it get me? Fat lotta nothing--and I'm STILL told I need to "stop complaining" and "if you don't like it, why don't you just leave?" What's the point? So I put my magic X on the magic ballot and it supposedly bought me the right to complain as if free speech doesn't exist in this country. Big frigging deal. Same outcome as if I'd saved the state the paper and postage.

Somehow it is decided for me that I get to vote for either Person X or Person Y. Tough cookies if I don't like either of them.

And I have to say I was a bit insulted that campaigns were appealing to women personally as though we were some sort of special group that had to be catered to in a certain way because we hadn't the proper brains or priorities to make our political decisions the normal way like men do, or as if we had to be treated like our vote counted because it didn't, or because someone didn't really care about our input but just cared about the numbers we as women could give them. Why would that make me want to vote?
