I agree. On several occasions it seems as if a tone of some kind is noticeable right before a feeling or message.

Not always, though it does feel as if an almost audible downshift of somekind is marking entry.

I've had this sound in sleep as well, it is followed by what feels like an out of body or rollercoaster drop type feeling. It helps me to know what is coming in a way. Other times I am just hit with it cold turkey in the center of my stomach.

Thank you both for your information. I will pay attention to the sounds and look for correlation with anything else; times, dates, "feelings", as will my sister.

This happens to me, sometimes in the right ear, sometimes in the left. John Edward mentioned this several years ago, either in a book or on tv, that some intuitive people experience something similar to this sound. It usually happens every few weeks, however in the past 24 hours I have had it occur 3 times! The first one happened early yesterday morning; I was in the middle of a wonderful "visit" with my daughter and this high pitched sound started in my left ear! It would not stop and lasted for about ten seconds. (See my post on dream forum). The second, shorter one occurred almost 5 hours later, and the third one this morning about 7 a.m. while I was still in bed. They have never occurred in the morning while in bed prior to yesterday! I asked a local psychic medium today if she knew anything about this, and her husband said they knew a guy that used to hear something, and it turned out to be the underwater cables the Navy use to communicate with the submarines! Which were nowhere near the guy, but somehow he was picking up on the sound! Maybe there are some whales in love out in the Gulf <img src="/images/graemlins/heart.gif" alt="" />, or a Mother Ship nearby. <img src="/images/graemlins/beamedup.gif" alt="" />

You know, I think everyone has a point. I know in a reading coincidence seems to at least point us in the right direction.

With these sounds, I know myself I can identify 3. One is a very low grade hummmmmmm with an intermitten decipal approximately one octive higher. Another is a rushing sound, as if electricity were a wave crashing against the shore or a transformer type sound. The last one is a high pitched noise - almost a radio signal - the kind associated with a test sound on the tv - when we use to have them.

When these sounds come through, I have to add in an instant of a second it feels as if I am under water or my ears are plugged. Everything else goes away.

I am not ill at the time, there is no ear infection and it goes back to normal within 1 - 2 minutes if I am awake. If this happens when I am asleep I usually have an out of body experience or the sensation of continuous falling - like you would on a rollercoaster with additional wild clips from...well...just messages I guess you would say. Informative messages???

Has anyone else experienced this??

Mine are the high pitched sounds. Yesterday and today I got them in my Right ear. Since the other day it has been happening every day! Except for the one the other a.m. that lasted for 10 seconds, they otherwise just last 2-3 seconds. They are definitely happening a lot more than they used to. Sometimes loud and other times quieter. I have been paying attention to the time they occur, but I do not feel anything with or after the sound. <img src="/images/graemlins/beamedup.gif" alt="" />

I had an aunt and uncle who a number of years ago used to talk about the "machinery" that they could both hear (although no one else could). They agreed that the noise quit for a half hour or so every night between 2 and 2:30 a.m. ,if I remember this correctly. At the time, we just thought they were the "odd" relatives, but I wish they were around now to ask. Does anyone else out there here the machinery?

I've not heard of that term specifically, but I will ask the group that shows tonight for radio/chat and see if anyone there has heard of it.

For me there are just different tones lasting from a few seconds to 15 min. during sleep as well as when I am awake.

Isn't ironic the seeds our relatives plant? When the time is right they grow into exactly what they are supposed to!

You're right that we don't always know what we've got til they're gone when it comes to family. This aunt and uncle (he was the blood relation, she the relative by marriage) were odd in a number of ways... they moved on the spur of the moment whenever they felt people were getting too close, they didn't forward their new address, (to this point it sounds like they just wanted to ditch the family, doesn't it? Maybe that was it after all!) Their hobby was the paranormal and they went to conferences, workshops, retreats, all that sort of stuff no one else in the family thought was quite normal. Now, years after their deaths, I am interested in many of the same things and am curious to know if they were "sensitive" and together, were able to pick up what others didn't, instead of just being paranoid and "nuts" as far as the family was concerned. I've always wondered about both of them being this way... like both being able to hear "the machinery" when no one else does... rather than cross-contamination with crazy notions one to the other, I'd like to think they just recognized how special they were, and how much that made them perfect for each other. More than anything else, it makes me think that just because we don't hear/see/feel something, that doesn't mean someone else can't or that what they sense doesn't exist. I wish more people could just go with that, don't you? Trish

I had a very odd eperience about a week ago. I was walking through my house and I looked up at my clock on my wall to see what time it was and it said 1:00. Well this time did not match the time on my cable box. I walked into my kitchen and the clock on my coffee pot also said 1:00. Now the wall clock is battery operated but the coffee pot is plugged directly into an electrical socket. I thought nothing of it at the time. So I went outside. When I came in both clocks had the correct time on them.
I have no explanation for this. I would understand about the wall clock because the batteries could be going dead. But not about the clock on my coffee pot. This is a very new experience for me.
I also have one more odd experience to share. I care for stray cats in my neighborhood because I love animals and I won't see any animal go hungry. One cat, a orange tabby mix, who I have been feeding for a couple of years now came by with a large open wound maybe an inch long on his hindquaters by his tail. I was petting him and when my left hand was over top of the sore my palm started to heat up and I could not move my hand close to it. The force was like when you put two magnets together and they repel each other.Any advise with this one? This has never happened to me before.
