5 things that make me feel good about myself today.....

1) I have 2 beautiful children that doctors told me I would never have! <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

2) I finally found a man who truly loves me for who I am not what I can give him. lovers

3) I am 30 years old and decided to go to college.

4) I feel control of my life for the first time in 10 years.

5) I have a loving family who supports me and I can turn to if I need anything or someone to talk to.

Now can you name 5 or more things that make you feel good about yourself?

You go girlfriend!! My fourteen month old niece, Abbey, makes me feel exceptionally good about myself. She is such an inspiration-especially when she kisses herself in the mirror.

I definitely think my daughter makes me feel good about myself. A few years ago she wasn't born, I didn't even have a thought about having a child yet and I was going through a really messy divorce. Now I have her and my husband to make me laugh and we are also expecting a baby in April. My life is going pretty well so that makes me feel good.

I always wanted kids ever since I can remember. I had a miscarriage when I was 18 and I was told I would never be able to carry a baby to term because the doctors messed my uterus and fallopian tubes up when I had the D & C. I cried and was depressed for a very long time. I helped raise my 3 god babies and one of my nephews. Then by a miracle in '99 I got pregnant. I took 3 pregnancy tests and made my midwife do 2 LOL I had my healthy gorgeous baby boy in 2000. Then in 2003, I had another miracle and was blessed to have a beautiful daughter. I had a lot of problems with her tho. I had gestational diabetes, she was born severly jaundice and broke her collar bone coming out. But I would do it all over again just to have her. SHe turned 2 on the 20th of January.

WOW! What an ordeal. They sure are worth it though. Everybody told me I would forget about the pain of birth. Maybe when it is "normal" you can. I can still remember every painful detail of mine, and wouldn't trade him for anything. It seems like such a small sacrifice to make for so much love.

My 6 wonderful grandchildren. I never in my life would have believed that grandchildren could make a person so happy. It does not matter what they say it is "cute". I too was told I could not have kids, and I had 3 sons, they have given me 3 granddaughters, and 3 grandsons, at 47 I don't think I could be any happier.
also what makes me feel good about myself is when I get up early before I go to work and go workout at Curves. It brightens my day, and makes me energized for the day.

Skinny, I know what you mean. The pain you endure for a short time while in labor (well it can see like an eternity while it is happens LOL) is so worth the love you feel when you have that angel in your arms and all the years to come. My 2 year old said I love you for the first time Friday. My heart melted and I almost cried. Her favorite thing to do to me is stand up next to me and wrap her arms around my head, squeeze me and grunt. She added the I love you part.

Bonnie, I can't get motivated in the morning to do anything but shower LOL Kudos to you! A Curves place has opened in the next town over from me. Are they expensive? I have been doing the treadmill at school for 15 minutes 2 or 3 days a week. It isn't much but it is better than nothing. I can't wait for spring! When it gets warm, I pack the kids up almost every day for a walk or to the small park that is 2 blocks away. I am going to try to do container gardening as well. In years past, I haven't been motivated to do much of anything but since I have been away from my ex-husband for almost a year now, I have been feeling much better about myself and have been feeling like doing more.

Oh I am a sap as well. I feel so goofy when sometimes I will just sit and watch them play together or watch them doing something and I get all teared up. Sometimes I can't believe I was blessed with 2 angels.
