Thank you so very much, Michael.

Hi Kati!

Thanks for the continued prayer for a fast and complete recovery; I really appreciate it.

I talked to his nurse earlier, and he may be in a regular room tomorrow. We'll see. He's coughing up some phlegm, which they sent to the lab for analysis. He's still quite sore and such, but all in all, everything is looking good considering. I'll see him again tomorrow night, but will probably talk to his nurse around 7 AM as I usually do.

Thanks, Susan.

He doesn't have pneumonia, all the tubes are out (as well as the external pacemaker), he's in a regular room, and, as of this morning, the only thing he's taking for pain is Tylenol. In fact, he said he has hardly any pain.

He's not getting a whole lot of sleep because of the nurses, breathing treatments, etc., but he did tell me this morning that he got 3 hours of sleep (which is good for him.)

Thank God, Janet. It sounds like your father is making a wonderful comeback. I'm so happy to hear that! My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and your family!

Thanks so much, Trish!

He was moved into a transitional/rehabilitative room yesterday. For whatever reason, to "tough it out"?, he didn't ask for a pain pill all day so by the time I saw him last night, he was restless, irritable and in pain. I told him not to do that anymore! He agreed, and took 2 Vicodin, which made him feel much better.

He mentioned to a nurse while I was there that this whole process was "working on him mentally". So, it looks like this has taken an emotional toll on him...

I'll keep you all updated--and thanks again for all your "invisble acts of power".

My Dad is doing wonderfully, and will be out of the hospital Friday morning. :music: It's been 3 weeks that he's been in the hospital, so he's quite happy to be getting out!

He's in great spirits, looks great, sounds strong...all the prayers and well wishes are greatly appreciated by he and I.

He won't have to be on oxygen, and it looks like he'll have a visiting nurse coming just to keep an eye on the leg incision. Even his high blood pressure is no longer high.

Thanks, Susan!

He's home now and is doing very well! He's only on Tylenol for pain, but does get tired easily (understandably).
