Hi Rae, can you explain to me about the "phantom" image? I'm new to learning about crystals, and am fair intrigued by this phenomenon... <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Well, it's not really an image, it's part of the crystalline structure. Most often, it looks like there is a smaller crystal inside the large one, scaled down a bit, but bearing the same shaping.

I read that this meant the crystal had "grown" beyond it's original energies or purposes to reach something higher. They sure aren't common.

I was going to ask Rae the same thing, 'lyssa! How fascinating, Rae. Do you happen to have any pictures of this crystal, or seen one one the web? It sounds like it would appear fractal-like. Makes me want to go get my crystals to see if I have any "phantoms" in them! (Or would they be obvious to the naked eye?)

What kind of crystal is it, Rae?

Oh, thanks Rae, I appreciate your help there. That sounds really interesting... yeah, I'd be interested in seeing this phenomenon too if I could... lol, me too Janet, I'm itching to get all my crystals out and look at them all again! I don't have that many, but still... I love mystery.
