Do you have a favorite reality tv show?

I promised myself that I would not watch any of them. But a couple of weeks ago I found myself watching "The Apprentice" a Donald Trump production. There are two teams, male and female. They don't have to survive on things they find in the woods but they do have to do a lot a scavenger hunting for business deals, etc. They get whiny and ugly but I'm hooked. At the end of each episode "the Donald" says the dreaded words "You're Fired" and a poor sole walks out head down and defeated <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> So far the women are winning big time.

The winner(s)?? get a chance to work for Donald Trump. Anyone else hooked on this or any reality TV?

Also are the Osbornes still on? <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I'm hooked on that too. It's amazing how girls beat out the guys every single time. I think it was *major* stupidity to go to that flash salon for leg-waxing. I mean, if you see the receptionist holding a Louis Vuitton notebook.. well, [censored].

I read an interview with Donald Trump, and they asked if it makes him feel good to fire people. He said, "No." but I knew he was lying through his teeth, because you can see in the show (by his body language, if not by facial expression), that it makes him feel powerful and important.

I didn't like Osbournes, I mean, I could produce an exactly the same reality TV show lying around all day.

Some other ones I am/was hooked on (everyone tell me which ones you'd like to discuss, 'cause I'm prepared to!):
- Anna Nicole
- The Real Life
- American Idol
- America's Next Supermodel
- Celebrity Mole (the one where Kathy G. won)
- Paradise Hotel (the one with Dave, guy with a long nose).

I'm hooked on reality shows also. My husband hates them, but he watches them because I always turn them on! :rolling:

Plus he's making serious money because he produces this show.

I see that all three of us watch America's Next Supermodel also, I forgot that would be called a reality show. But what else - you follow them everywhere. Last week I loved the model who cried all the time. I was sure that she would to tossed out because of that.

And what about the guy Sam who tried to out-stare Trump when he was ousted. That was really strange. But DT did not get where he is by being weak and backing down.

I used to watched Survivor because a friend did. I think that's the show that started it all. Isn't it?

Guys, could you tell me when America's Next Supermodel is on air, please? I've missed this entire season so far!
I've watched last season religiously though.
Are the judges still the same this season? I liked the Wrinkly-[censored] Aging Supermodel chick. (She always came up with the most insane comments! Was a delight to watch.)

I think it was Sam's way of laying a guilt trip on (across?) DT.
Also, I forgot to say that in the interview DT said he was germophobic and considered shaking hands completely horrible because you can get all kinds of diseases from it and he's prefer Japanese-style bowing (but that he still shakes hands anyway because that's how you do business).
That must have been why Sam made such a big deal out of Trump's shaking his hand. (Or else, it might be because Sam is inadequate.)

Yo, did you guys behold Kwame's excellent leadership skills last time? The guy is like the most ethical ethic in the world! I swear, Bowie actually felt good when Kwame picked him for elimination!

I don't like "traditional" reality shows (like the ones mentioned) but I do like:

Monster House
Monster Garage
American Chopper


Dream House on HGTV had an awesome series on this rich kid getting his own bachelor pad.

Other shows on TLC and such are fun to watch sometimes, too. (Like While You Were Out.)

I am one of the few people who don't have cable so I won't know those shows. I have caught bit and pieces of HGTV and love love the channel.

I think that Sam has problems. I think you're right maybe he does feel inadequate. He kept talking about the guys giving him respect. Trump told him that he would have to earn it. Something is definately going on with him. I would not want to be his sweetie.

I really like Kwame. He has good ideas, but he's so quiet. And he seems very ethical and straight forward - not sure how he would fit in Donald's world <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I think Sam just got married or something, to that girl he was dating. The camera crew taped him proposing to her, and she said yes. (what was she thinking?)

Yeah, the reason he kept talking about guys giving him respect is because I think he *knew* that he spent most of the valuable time and energy when he was assigned to lead the team on getting them to recognize his dominance (the problem is -- he TRIED TOO HARD).

No no, I meant ethical not in the sense of ethics, but in the sense of knowing WHAT to say WHEN to WHOM, which would actually be a really good quality to have in DT's world.. I think the guy'll go far. He belongs in upper management.
