Even though there are over a thousand names out there to choose from, a lot of us who are already moms and dads have our own unique names we have given our children along with unusual spellings. Please share your kids' names with us. And, they don't have to be unusual, we'd love to hear what people are naming their rugrats these days.

I'll start with mine:

Kylie (girl), Greyde (boy, like Grady), Harle (girl, she spells it Harley), Colton (boy), and Zane (boy)

Growing up, my name wasn't all that popular, and when people did write it they always ALWAYS spelled it with an I. My middle name is my great-grandmother's maiden name (Gunn) which I absolutely hated, but now I'm glad to have it, so I did the same thing to both of my kids. I have a daughter named Abigail Hunt, named after my other great grandmother who was almost 100 yrs old to the day that my daughter was born. My daughter likes knowing there is history behind her name. Then when she was 3, I had my son and let her choose from 4 names I liked. He ended up being Logan Pierce, (Pierce being a family name). so now my children have names with meaning, my husbands last name, and family middle names.

I think it is pretty important to choose original or at least unpopular names for your children. My boy's names are:
Armand Morgan (the oldest)
Santiago Dominguez
Francisco Jos (youngest)

I love all those names!

I am working on a few for the site now. How do these names sound:

Savich
Ramsey
Talitha
Lakenya

I know, I'm weird, but I love originality and hate the idea of hunting all over creation for a name I really like.

Everyone in my family has a unique name...

mine is Kegan

my son is Drake Nathaniel

my daughters are Antonya (pronounced an-toe-KNEE-ya) Jordyn-Ayana and Chandler Casidy Vanesa

my sister is Kellan Ciandre

All unique (to a degree). I went for names I hadn't heard a lot. :rolling:

Ive always wished I had an interesting name. Melissa is just too common, and my brother's name is (at least its spelled differently) Kennith. I guess because I have such an ordinary name i kinda veer towards names that no one's heard of. In fact since I'm a big reader, and I mostly read fantasy books, I like odd names such as Ashila, Rhiannon, Merlin, Morgan (I know, its kinda common, but I like it as a guy's name), Lirael, Sabriel, Kira, Branwen, Emrys, etc... ok. Just thought I'd give my opinion. haha :rolling:

I wanted have names that weren't common. You know not on the top 10 list, lol. Still I didn't want people to look at me and think hmmmmm, what's that about? So my son is Justice Earl-Jones and my daughter is Cecilia Pixie. Pixie was my sons idea and it was very important to him so we used it as her middle name. He is named after my 2 grandfathers.WE LOVE THEIR NAMES.
