too much to ask to have a normal religion that doesn't teach hatred against women
Jesus taught nothing but the utmost respect for women. His teachings,- studied and taken as a whole- are very liberating and freeing to women.

A woman gave birth to the savior, women were the last at the cross and first at the tomb to find it empty. He chose a woman to be the first to reveal Himself to after the resurrection. He chose a woman to be the first to carry the message of His resurrection to the disciples.

myhands, 100% exactment of my opinion. Look. Holy Trinity. Father, Son, HolySpirit (also a guy, presumably). Mother? Daughter? What? Where?

Women are not even allowed to go to a lot of Orthodox Christian churches wearing pants and with their hair uncovered. **** that. Religion can kiss my [censored].

are you racist?

anywho, it's really stupid how christianity is like against all this magic and psychic and evolution stuff when that is what Jesus did. HEALING is a psychic ability that anyone is capable of. EVOLUTION happens no matter what, if not then why are we still not cave people?

I of me. Where did you pull the term "racist" out of? Never mind, I don't want to know. Western religion (Christianity, Judaism), which are founded on the premise of male superiority. I'm not making this [censored] up. If you don't know this stuff already, perhaps you need to look it up, as opposed to making ridiculous accusations of racism. Don't take your ignorance out on me.

IQ, it's healthy to be ALLOWED to speak of the religious oppression of women without being attacked by an ignorant, oppressive type. That's brainwashing, and strategy religions use to keep women down. DOn't you dare think for yourself, or you will be punished. It's sick. Any woman who can believe that Eve is a wicked temptress who represents womankind, is someone I feel sorry for. I respect myself and womankind too much to follow Christianity or a Judaism. Thanks, but no thanks. Women are NOT second class citizens. I don't care how many ministers, priests and rabbis try to convince me otherwise. If they would just ADMIT that they are male supremists, I might consider listening to a word they have to say. I'm not familiar with other religions, so I can't say for them. From what little I know of Buddhism, it is interesting. But, for all I know, they put women down too. I really don't know. P.S. I LOVE Shenate O'Connor.

You ask where I 'pulled the term' out from then you say you dont want to know then you go on as if you know where I 'pulled' it out from.

just an analyzing statment. no offence intended
but it is strange how someone would do such a thing.

Anyway, 'are you racist' is just a question, not an accusastion. If it was I would have said 'you are racist, get the f*** off this planet cuz you dun belong here!' but I didn't say that. I asked whether you think you were or not.

I know Sexism is still too common just as racism is and as far as I know many religions will carry sexism.

I couldn't care less about what 'race' or gender someone is, all I care about is what they can and can't do.

The only place I have felt "oppression" as a female believer in Christ was in a church building. Thankfully, my Lord and Savior is not bound by the rules of humans. I can be free to worship Him as the woman He created me to be.

IMHO He created me to be different than a man. My perspective allows me to accept and love and nurture those around me in such a way that I am able to draw people to me and through me to God. Afterall, that is the purpose.

By the way, as moderator of this forum, I will NOT allow anyones opinion to be bashed or manipulated in any way. myhands and I of Me please refrain from namecalling here. Everyone is welcome and everyone will be heard. I will not delete any thread unless it is threatning or obscene. But I will only warn you once. What I am refering to is:
If you don't know this stuff already, perhaps you need to look it up, as opposed to making ridiculous accusations of racism. Don't take your ignorance out on me.

and:

Anyway, 'are you racist' is just a question, not an accusastion. If it was I would have said 'you are racist, get the f*** off this planet cuz you dun belong here!' but I didn't say that. I asked whether you think you were or not.

Sometimes in a post we can misunderstood. However, I draw the line at name calling or attacking even passive agressivly in any manner. Please no more cussing either, it's just rude, IMHO and I'm the boss.... <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Thankyou for your consideration.

Jenna, I am glad you finally stepped in. If you had done that when I of Me attacked me, then the problem would have been taken care of. If the moderators don't take care of their board, and someone attacks me, then I defend myself. That's not going to change. I don't accept verbal abuse from anyone. If you are going to be the boss now, let the record show that I am glad.
