Honey, just do what you want and don't worry about what other people think. If you want to learn how to ride---go for it. There are two times in life when age gets in the way of doing what you want: 1) when your parents tell you that you are too young, 2) when the hearse carries you away. I say once you've passed number 1, don't wait for number 2. MO

To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.

Never too old.

I do worry about people who have a license from 40 years ago, and who jump on a new 1200cc machine with no thought about how the bikes and roads have changed.

Most people who ride, know if they are up to it or not. If you can't handle it, and I know people who can't in their 20's who can't, you will know.

I see this was posted long ago, but would like to know if you did go ahead with your dream. I can beat all of you...I am 71---rode many years ago---just started biking again and am having a ball! I have a Suzuki 400 and just scoot all around town. I try to be very careful and am even thinking about moving up a notch!

if you are able to control the vehicle and posess all the physical skills necessary for driving a motorcycle, then go for it.

Absolutely! I am 42 and my hubby 54 - we have just re-entered the world of motorcycles and are looking forward to quite a few great years on the road.

There is a great saying in Australia.

Go cruzing while you are boozing.

That is not exactly what they do but the boys and gals of of 60's love getting together and just travelling together and reminsciing.

Good luck to them.

Not to mention the money saved on gas! Harleys aren't that great on gas, but some of the smaller bikes are great!

There's never enough time to ride as far as I want!
