Well I'm new to this forum. As well as a recent graduate of a web design program.

They basically covered html java, and a few applications. Like dremweaver and flash. As well as front page.

I was wondering how to get started putting these skills to use. Or finding a job in this field. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

You may want to start out trying to get some overflow work from local Virtual Assistants/Secretary Service Owners. Sometimes they may have some stuff that they can subcontract out. However, like anyone looking for work, it will be best to have a portfolio which includes some samples of your work and references. <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I would also suggest purchasing a domain and setting up shop online (if you haven't done so already). I definitely agree that building up a portfolio is the way to go - often work will come by word of mouth from pleased customers.
