Thankyou so much for the sock pattern info. I never would have looked under Spinning for sock knitting ideas!!I have been knitting for many many years and use that same basic method. My Grandmother taught me and I learned to knit on String. It was during WWII when money and yarns where scarce. My Grandmother taught me many lessons but one I remember most and I still believe today is "If anything is worth doing, it is worth doing well." If I made a mistake, she would rip my work back and make me do it all over again until it was correct - even though it was on string and "was just a dishrag".
I enjoy this Forum very much and read it every day - this is the 1st time I have participated in this group - what fun.
