Other--EU should punish people who abuse freedom of speech, e.g., slander.

I voted and part of my answer is in the "Polish Freedom of Speech thread" and I won't resubmit in this thread. I would also add that many of the countries in the EU will be unable to mention certain words on products that they are famous for. This will apply to everyone except France (can you imagine NO CHAMPAGNE or French wine from the Loire). As a matter of fact I prefer CHIPS to French Fries, chips has a more rugged sound and they go with fish (wrapped in a newspaper of course). Some freedom of speech will be lost in the EU, especilly that which is politically incorrect according to the liberals.

there is no such thing as "french fries".
anyone who says "fries" when they mean "chips" should be severely punished! <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

There were french fries when the French military tortured Algerians during French-Algerian War (1954-1962).

Raytan,
Would you prefer "Freedom Fries" instead of "French Fries"? (Yes, I know you mentioned chips.)

They are Pommes Frites or, quite literally, fried potatoes. End of discussion.
