Bob,

what about catching some of these sharks just before the storm and prepare a good shark soup - according to a Polish recipe

Jaga. Sounds like a good idea. I ate a shark steak once and it was good, no fishy taste. The shark soup sounds like a winner and it probably tastes good too. The other day a Cajun seafood chowder made by a real Cajun, it was yummy. My wife fixes a Spanish seafood soup that includes shrimp, really love it and it is my main dish for thay dinner.
How about putting the recipe on the forum or giving us a link so that we can all copy it for our recipe books?

When I lived on the Chesapeake bay. We had a fish that was named a Striped Bass.. We natives called it a Rock fish. At one time the bay was loaded with them. When they schooled up one could catch more than needed.
After a fishing trip I would give the excess away to neighbors.. There were two Russian sisters down the road that only wanted the heads.. They made a soup out of them or a chowder??. They offered me some but I refused.. I had no desire to have an eye ball staring up at me.

Fish head soup is still popular in parts of Alaska, and salmon cheeks are supposed to be a magnificent delecacy! No joke.

Frank, Kai, Jaga. For pure excitement; swim through a school of Bluefish with something shiney strapped to your arm, leg or dangling from your neck.
