there's a lot of hypocrisy by Catholics who are anti-abortion on religious grounds, in that so many of them use artificial contraception - which they should be equally opposed to on religious grounds....
and if you believe that abortion is wrong because it involves deliberately killing a human being then you should oppose it in all circumstances - no exceptions....
First off, 'the killing of human beings' is a a statement that I object too.
What makes a fetus a human being. By any medical and/or scientific definition the fetus is just this "a fetus'.
It is the religious belief of the individual as to whether
the fetus is a human being or not. This is not a social moral issue but a religious moral issue.
For years we have politicised this issue and said it is not religious. Well, I say "Bull Cr_p". That's all that was done is politicise the real religious issue.
What I object to is that the side that claims abortion is wrong is claiming their religious view is the only correct one. The same goes for the side that claims abortion is correct.
What we have forgoten is that God gave us a free will. This in conjunction with our conscience will determine what is right or wrong. Not some idiot who can't see the world clearly because they have lint in their navel.
