Doing Gods' work on Earth may not pay much, but the retirement plan is out of this world.

But now, people can live long on the earth before going to heaven or hell to retire in God's hands

My two favorite sayings on this theme are:
People who turn to religion in thier old age are cramming for final exams.
Anyone who wants to keep prayer out of school must eliminate exams.

Thank goodness I never went to a school that required prayer! That belongs in church only... not school!

i went to a private school and at second grade i was begging to go to public school, not that there was anything wrong with the private school but i thought that public would be a better learning experience.
this is me making decisions about my own education at age what?
when i got to third grade i stood up next to my desk to answer a question and thus began my first learning experience.

[/qb] Eric, thank goodnes you never went to school where you had to sing patriotic-communistic songs and learn by heart communistic propaganda! This is even worse than obligatory prayer.

I went to public elementary & high schools in NYC, USA in 1940's & early 1950's in which some teachers were Communists. Some asked us to sing Communist songs, e.g., "Browder* is our leader, we shall not be moved..." I & many others refused, and we were not penalized. For awhile after classes, I attended private Albanian culture school run by Bashkimi (pro-Enver Hoxha youth). Athough presumably a Communist, Hoxha was a fervent nationalist. I learned self defense with knives. *Earl Browder, head of CPUSA

Carl, my school had a bad rep for gang wars everyday, and it did but my defense was staying out of it...believe me it was difficult to hold a C avg.
i shouldnt call it gang wars cause it was more like one fighting with itself but i knew alot of them passivly and they were great people otherwise
