Ryan,
I never listen to Hannity radio show but we used to have a driver who was listening to his show while riding a bus. Therefore I remember him saying so.
But sometimes I watch FoxNEws <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> to know what they are up to <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

There are many reasons, but first, "America" must be defined. I, for instance, strongly dislike America, but when I say "America" I mean government, country's foreign policies, NOT people. Just as in ANY country, there are good and nice people in USA and there are complete [censored]*****. So, the reasons are:
- America abused the WWII situation to come out of dirt, shining in gold, so to speak. I mean, America was a vey average country one century ago. Noone likes that. - Americans believe they're the best at everything, arrogance and ignorance at it's best. Noone likes that (and it's actually not this way, sorry guys, you may be good at some things and completely suck at other, just like eveyone else). - America likes to interfere with other countries' internal affairs when they see fir (i.e. profit/benefit ... be that in $$$ equivalent or some political/strategic advantage). Take Serbia, take Iraq, take Vietnam. Obviously, noone likes that either. - America strongly influences all international institutions, be those political/social/sport, etc. Many times, you could see biased judging (in favor of USA ofcourse) in different sports. Only sports played in US are added to Olympic games. I bet golf, baseball and american football are somewhere there in the list, waiting for a convenient moment.
That's about sums it up: too arrogant, too ignorant. The heights US have achieved is mainly thanks to imigrants: Germans (mainly), Jews, Russians, etc. Have some respect for the countries who gave you birth and thanks to whom you are what you are now. Why do people hate America? If you treated everyone like you would like to be treated, they wouldn't.
Thankfully, US is not all that almighty and thankfully military speaking there is another country to keep the balance.
As a reminder, I was talking about America as a country, as a single entity, not of its people.

AINTD, Keep in mind that American lend lease helped Soviet Union defeat Nazi Germany, and after WW2 USA helped many countries develop economically including W. Germany & Spain. Carl

America's decline began after JFK's assassination, as some global economic elites intended. Since that event, globalization has replaced national sovereignty.

America helped Spain? A country lead by Franco? Is it the same Spain we're talking about?
USSR was beating Germany badly in any case, UK and USA played little role in this (even though it's now portrayed that the famous D-Day was the turning point ... laughable). US got in to make sure that there is some piece of Europe left for them, not because they had anything against Hitler.
You're talking about plan Marshall, aren't you? The fact is: USA got rich, Europe got poor. A coincidence? A strange anomaly? I don't think so. US helped rebuild Europe because they really needed some place to have economic relationship with. What's good in having all the gold in the world if you can't spend it? And if noone buys the excess of goods you have?

The heights US have achieved is mainly thanks to imigrants: Germans (mainly), Jews, Russians, etc. [/qb] When I was living in Poland we were so much influenced by Russia that we really liked America - as a counterbalance. When I was visiting other countries later I realized how people - Arabs, South Americans hate the USA policy. All of what you said it true. But maybe it is true for every superpower because if I would replace the world "America" by "Soviet Union" in your post it would match it very well. I still believe that many Americans and American government to the certian extend has some decency. They are able to acknowledge some wrongdoing - this never happened to SU, Russia or China.

AINTD: USA & UK fought Hitler in W. Europe, N. Africa & Italy. Ever hear of Battle of the Bulge & Monte Cassino? Ask the widows of dead Allied soldiers. After WW2, America helped W. Europe, including Franco Spain economically, to ensure these wouldn't become Communist. But you don't get something for nothing. W. Europe poor? I doubt it. Carl

Jaga, what would the Arabs & South Americans give in return if USA changed its policy? During the Mideast War (1973), Kissinger offered to withdraw support from Israel & allow the Arabs to win ("Let the Israelis bleed a little."). All he got in return was Sheik Yamani grinning like a hyena on TV. Israel buys most of its oil from ARAMCO vs. 3rd parties. Carl
