Definitively weather broadcast is much better in the USA. A week before my predissertation exam in Texas - my boss stated that according to the weather predictions it may snow in that day... and it really did!
In Poland I never listened to weather broadcast because they are completely unpredictable and usually wrong.
Besides - Polish weather maps still show umbrellas, clouds and suns and they do not know what weather satelites are

How is Poland doing with women's rights? I know that in Russia women definitely are not making as much money as men, aren't hired as eagerly, and are expected to work both at home and at work, while men are not expected to do [censored] at home.

Is limited women's rights in Russia related to male alcohol consumption?

And in fact, many women were hired in fields that in other countries, they wouldn't have been - especially in fields of science. However, now, there are no quotas, and so there is a lot of discrimination against women. At home, though, women have always done pretty much EVERYTHING. They say Russian men are good for reading the paper until dinner is ready, then going to bed when it's time to do the washing up.

[/qb] Name one country in the world in which there ISN'T. What the socialist countries did, though, was provide guarantees that women would at least have opportunities for employment, which other countries were years away from being able to provide. Also, the USSR was the world's first country to give women total suffrage.

Also, the USSR was the world's first country to give women total suffrage. However, by still not making a woman financially independent from her husband, that setup made sure she would work as much as a man and then go home and do everything so that the man wouldn't leave her and she wouldn't be out on the street, therefore ensuring that "Soviet families are the strongest families in the world." And let me assure you, that whole thing wasn't done with the purpose of giving women rights. It was done so that the new socialist nation would squeeze out as much cheap workforce as possible.

That was the whole purpose of the ideology, like it or not.
