What hairstyle would you love to have? The one that has always been in your mind even though your hair won't do it.

My dream hairstyle was always a very straight chin-length bob. Face framing and swingy.
My curly hair just would never do it and if I got it straight, it would revert to waves with any amount of humidity.
Amazingly, since the invention of narrow flat irons and smoothing serums, I can now have that style. --If I want to put the work in and use lots of conditioner. The products I use will keep it straight even in humidity!

I would love to have long, flowy, silky, princess-like hair I have long hair now but realize after all this time of growing it out that it's just not working. I think my ends look straggly and dry. Yes, I could spend an hour every morning with irons and serums but who has that time or wants to get up that early? I'm planning on cutting it to the top of my shoulders and focusing on it just looking healthy.

You are wise to focus on healthy rather than just long. Not everyone's hair will grow really long. Everyone has a point where the hair starts to split and break and past that point it looks thin and straggly.

I want tv shampoo commercial hair. You know, it looks like shiny glass and there are no split ends in sight. Just slightly wavy, enough to have body.

Total fantasy hair-do is still the one I dreamed about in high school: a really long, fire-engine red, mohawk haircut. I did have hot pink hair for a year and a half at one point, and surprisingly, it looked really natural with my facial coloring. However, what a pain to maintain the pink.
My more realistic fantasy is to have really thick hair. Mine is a bit thin and fine and I sometimes envy folks with thick crazy hair.

A long, softly curled perm. I used to get mine done that way but after a few kids, my hair stopped taking perms. I especially miss it because I hate blow drying my hair - especially since hot flashes have set in and I could let it dry naturally. Now if I don't blow it dry, I can't do anything with it.

Parthena, Have you tried a perm again lately? Sometimes when hair changes after childbirth (hormones) it will eventually return to normal. - Ofcours, menopause may change it again.

My dream hair has always been what I don't have. When I was younger and had straight hair, I wanted curly hair. Now that my hair is curly, I'd give anything to have stick straight hair
