I dishwash mine, but I notice little pieces are sometimes missing at the end of the cycle

I use the dishwasher and the microwave depending on how dirty the thing looks.

I agree about not liking sponges at all, but DH uses them. For my needs I just use dishrags and toss them in the laundry at the end of the day, like Erika. I put out a fresh one each night before bed.

I have always put mine in the dishwasher and in between washings I make sure that is is rinsed clean and free of soap. I've noticed that when the soap is left in, it starts to develop an odor.

I use a dish cloth, which I change daily-or more if needed.
