I thought I'd post this question after ANOTHER weird-thing-eating episode by my three dogs the other night.

This time it was several bunches of whole garlic cloves. !!!! APPARENTLY, DOGS EAT GARLIC.

Mushed garlic and garlic clove papers were all over the living room when we got home from the store. The house smelled like something very savory was cooking.

Prior to this episode, there was one involving RAW FLOUR. I had purchased some from a bulk bin, and left it in its plastic bag on the kitchen counter. I never thought they'd EAT it.

When we got home that time, needless to say there was white powder everywhere, including all over the dogs. And the worst part was that they had flour-glue beards.

Here's a picture of my dog Dobro with his beard:

I guess the weirdest thing one of my dogs had, was really a drink & not eaten.

Kemo, a Dalmatian who moved into our zoo when he was 6 years old, got into my liquor cabinet once (once was enough). He took out a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream, took the top off & had himself a little party. I don't believe he actually drank much of it, since the carpet was saturated with it when I got home from work, but he certainly got a few links in.

That's hilarious. You didn't know he had this little "problem" when you adopted him, did you?

My dogs enjoy beer, and we give them a tiny taste of it from time to time. But they haven't started the bad behavior yet that our friend's cat has. When they have guests over drinking beer, he goes around and knocks the beer bottles over with is paw and drinks up the beer.

Apparenty it's pretty irritating!

The oddest (and grossest) would be two things for my Pug : used diapers, and used feminime products. I'll never leave the bathroom door open again, that's for sure. . . I made the mistake of not closing the door to the bathroom after I went to bed that night, and all I found was the inner "stuffing" from the aforementioned paper products. Took me forever to get it all up, too. At least, if she actually ate anything, it returned outside, not in the house.

Yep, that's totally gross. But I have a cat who eats feminine products, too - I guess it's, uh, some kind of animal thing!

As of last night, I have to add "disposable camera" to the list.

My dalmatian loves to scrape up used chewing gum (carelessly discarded by horrible kids) from the pavement! Often, though, she just chews it up and drops it again...

Apart from that, she has tried to eat most mouth-sized things imaginable, including a few pens, and food which she had stolen & digested with its wrapper still attached!

Hee - I bet your son wasn't too thrilled about that!

My dogs eat olives, too. It's actually kind of cute.
