Dakota, my 65 lb Springer cross sleeps on my waterbed with me. The two pups - 9 mo old Irish Setter, Chester & 6 mo old Great Pyraneese cross, Lexi both still sleep in their crates.
I think Chester would be ok out of the crate, but since he arrived here after Lexi did, I don't want to cause any problems between those two with Chester getting something before Lexi. I don't think Dakota would allow him on the bed anyway.
I'm not really sure whats going to happen once they are all on their own at night. I might have to get myself another bed.

I love this question. My Chihuahua sleeps in bed with us. She sleeps under the blankets between my legs. I can't move or she will let me know about it.
The shepard mix who is almost 9 months sleeps in bed on my side on my pillow with one leg over my neck. She is very sweet and will let me move around. But now they are shedding and its a chore to try to keep all the fur out of the bed. Any suggestions on controlling the shedding?

My 4 yr old German Shepherd (65lbs) sleeps in the livingroom. As a pup she slept in a very large kennel in the diningroom. During the summer of her first year she went to visit the inlaws with my husband and slept on the bed with him. When they came back we decided to try her out of the kennel. She been sleeping on the couch or floor at the bottom of the stairs or under the buffet, depending on her own wants. We've never had a problem.

I have two goldens and they sleep in my room on thier pillows. Sometimes the female sleeps outside untill she "feels" like coming in. The male stays with me all night and comes to bed as soon as I move his bed from the living-room.

The cockers sleep outside in their kennel/run dog house.
My new baby Chihuahua. Maisey, sleeps in her training crate until 5 or 6ish in the morning and then she and I will cuddle and snooze on the sofa for another hour or so until its time to get the kids ready for school. If I had my way, I would just take her into bed with dh and I, but I promised him the dog wouldn't sleep in our bed <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Our English Bulldog use to sleep in the bed with us before he passed away. We had a king size bed. So it was Musa (our dog) with his arm around my husband, and then me. When our son was born, he would sleep between my husband and me. So there was the four of in the bed. It was great. We miss Musa.

My two miniature dachshunds let me and the hubby sleep with them in their king sized bed. *grins*
Actually, they spend more time in the bed than we do... Its not unusual to find Mathilda curled up deep under a pile of comforter and blanket. We have to do a sweep of the bed before we get in it to avoid crushing a dog, lol. But they keep us warm and they are great snugglers, so all is good, in spite of the bed hogging tendencies of my Faust. *winks*
