My favourite has to be the Affenpinscher, or 'The Moustached Little Devil'

Dogs are man's worst enemy. I hate dogs.

And they hate you.

I love chuahuahuas, cherandbuster. I've got a mixed breed, and he's so much fun. Brown, with white markings and a whole lot of attitude.

My husband keeps Laikas for hunting.

I prefer our Great Dane for couch potato days and our Border Collie for those sporty, agility, herding days!!!!

Many mixes are quite intelligent and super pets, its just that we have unfortunately run across several with some catastrophe in their previous lives that has made them difficult to deal with in our household. Just not a fit for an active 2-adult, 1-teen home.

There are a lot of breeds that I think are really cute, but I'm a fan of the mutt....my dog was a cocker spaniel/long-haired dachsund mix. He looked a lot like a cocker except he had the reddish coloring of the dachsund and a longer nose...a long body, short thick legs, big feet and a big head. He was one of a kind:)

I'd love to have a French Bulldog and an American Staffordshire Terrier.

I have had several dogs over the years and I would have to say my all time favorite is the Brussels Griffon. They are intelligent, loving, adorable, and have a "humanlike expression". They adore their "people". I have one now that is a red roughcoat similar to the one in the movie,"As Good as It Gets".

I have to say that over the dogs we have had and I grew up with a loving collie and had a rescued lab, but the breed I like the most are terriers.

now depending on the size they can be calm or rambunctious. we had a mix terrier (border and chihuahua) and she was so nervous, in fact ended up dying at the age of 13 from a heart attack.

but then we had a rat terrier. the larger version and she was a complete love. about 16 inches tall and she was so laid back and good. could leave her alone and she would watch the house but be settled about it.

Now we have a jack russel and he is so cute and loving but the exact opposite. but we would not take him back to sisca where we got him for the world. he is our world.

but the rat terrier and the jrt both shed alot but they do not have the doggy smell that so many people talk about. the first we had til she was 9.5 and died of liver failure. we have had the jack for almost 2 years now. they both just have smelled sweet. maybe it is because they shed so much or that their coats are thin due to the breed. who knows.

but we love our jack.
