ok, this is aquestion regarding to the storyline in ffx.

ok this s gonna get confusing fast so I'l go slow and try to bare with me hre....when tidus finds auron in luca auron tells him he and jeht were guardians for braska 10 years ago and after they defeated sin auron went to zanarkand to look after tidus.
But heres the thing....10 year ago for tidus should actually be 1,010 years for yuna no?
because didnt sin first come 1,000 years ago and attacked zanarkand? The Tidus was sent insidethat light and 1,000 years pass (presumably) and he's in spira....and from there its 10 years ago that braska, jecht, auron defeated sin.
Braska was born after sin came because sin came 1,000 years ago and braska didnt defeat him ntil 10 years beforethegame takes place.
so my question is....how does this work out? How could auron, jecht and braska defeat sin 10 years ago, and then auron go to zanarkand to watch over tidus....zanarand was destroyed 1,000 years ago when sin first came and thats when Tidus got sent into that light and woke up (1,000 yeas later Im assuming) in Spira.
Its no big deal but Im just confused after getting through that part of the game and trying to understand how the story is flowing. Anybody understand what Im talking about?

REALLY confusing... uhm i'll try to explain however it is i think

auron appears from the future with the first sin to get tidus 1000 years ago. Auron takes him to spira 1000 years in the future so that means that sin was fought and beaten many times, braska wasn't the first one. Braska beat sin 990 years after tidus... i dno if that answers your question 'cause i didn't really undersatand it

well, it all becomes clearer at gagazet (looooong way from luca) and zanarkand, and a scene at the very end, after the final battles. I dont really want to spoil it, just play the game through, and then start a new game with all the knoledge you got from the old game, and a lot of things that didnt make sense will fall into place. I didnt understand most of it, but the 2nd game helped. i know that didnt help you much, but sometimes those types of questions are more fun to resolve yourself, and most are answered in the game.

I actually beat the game once already, this is my 2nd time around but the game didnt let me start a 2nd adventure in the same save file (like ffx2 does) I had to start a new gme in a new file....is that still the 2nd adventure that you are talking about?

um....what?
What's this about 2nd game? You can't carry on like you can in FFX-2.
FFX isn't that type of RPG where you carry on things after you beat it once

so if you overwrite your first FFX file then it wont make any difference to the game. It will be like just having bought the game.

I prefer to keep a save next the final battle so I can replay it without having to go through the whole game again

and about the story maths....
I didn't think Auron said he went back 1000 years to go to Tidus.
I thought Auron went back and brought Tidus forward 1000 years

Auron doesn't go back 1000 years at all, no-one travels through time. Like mind long gone don't wanna spoil the best FF storyline for anyone but if you care or are confused even after playing it through twice gimme an email and will try and explain it to ya

Ok, If you have yet to beat FFX dont read any further....but those who have beaten it atleast once continue....

I played the game and beat it once.
Im playing through it again.
The thing that confuses me about the storyline is.....
In the beginning Zanarkand is fine and then Sin attacks and Tidus sees Auron and they know each other and Auron tells Tidus his story begins here and then they get sucked into the beam of light.
Then Tidus is swimming and sees his father (it looks kind of like his father as an aeon.)
Then Tidus is in Spira (1,000 years later)
And he sees Auron and we the players find out that Auron and Jecht were guardians for Braska. But They fought Sin 10 years ago from the time where the game is taking place.
Now 1,000 years ago during Tidus' original time....his father disappeared 10 years ago from then (when Tidus was a little kid).
Now I can understand it if Jecht left 10 years ago and went to Besaid or wherever and met up w/ Braska and Auron and they went to fight Sin.....but....
a) Sin wasn't around 10 years ago when Tidus last saw Jecht when Tidus was a child.
b) 1,000 years fall between when Tidus last saw Jecht from when Yuna last saw Jecht.

So unless I totally missinterpreted the story, its not making sense.
Now I passed the game once already so unless playing it a second time has different endings, you wont be spoiling anything for me....Im just trying to fully understand the story. With that said, anyone that can explain it please do.
