Did anyone start a Rumtopf, and if so how is it going, are we any nearer to that Rumptopf root cellar gathering? 
It's not too late to start, masses of summer fruit on the way before the season is over. Have just picked the greengages ready to go in, and my goodness the aroma from the pot is already delicious.
Peaches next...........if they don't all get eaten before reaching the pot, there should have been rather more greengages than actually ended up being 'Rumtopfed'. No that isn't a word, but it is appropriate.
