Doilies and Coasters, Burda pg 34 round 4
look at the overall motif of round 4, it is rather like a butterfly I think. It begins in the center with the ring of R 5 - 2 - - 1 - - 1 - - 2 - 5 clr. Rotate that that ring so that the bottom (6 o'clock position) is now at 9 o'clock, iow, one quarter rotation.

Now begin the chain, throw off large and small rings,
cont to chain, throw off 3 rings with sh2 while also joining to the three long picots of the initial ring
cont to chain, large ring joins back to initial ring
cont to chain and join to the base of the initial ring
rw
chain over to the set of three rings, trefoil,
the center ring of the trefoil joins to round 3
continue to chain distance then begin motif again.
I hope this helps
