EVERY TIME I hear someone say how "hard" it is to be a parent, I am thrilled to not be one. In fact, one of my standard responses these days to: "why don't you want kids?" is "parenting is too hard". Do you know that the only response I have ever gotten is some sort of agreement, never that sideways judgement. Quite effective.
