My Father-in-law just passed 5 days ago in a motorcycle accident. He did not have a will. There are 3 different insurance companies to pay family (car, motorcycle, and insurance of the person that pulled out infront of him), and that have paid for funeral costs. My husband wants to know since it is his step-father, will he be entitled to any of the money from the insurace companies. He does not want to discuss this with his mother. He does't think it's the right timing to do so. I'm looking for ANY advise, help, or answers to this.
