Yeah, Jeanette, I agree. I realized that it was aimed at teenagers and appreciated that, but what I didn't appreciate was that IMO, it's aimed at teenagers in the 1950's LOL, and even they were probably more risque. I mean, as if a 90 yr old vampire is going to be sexless, to me it adds to the whole Cinderella fairy tale myth that young girls are brought up with.
I wasn't surprised to hear that the author is a devout Christian, I've read much better teen books.

The Secret Circle trilogy by L.J Smith, about a coven of witches are far superior books IMO, and was written years before Twilight, and is also much more realistic to it's readers, I know it was made into a TV show for a while, but it could have been a great movie.
