Well, as far as I know there is quite old Muslim community in Poland - in the East of the country. They derive from the Tatars (Mongol tribe) that invaded Poland quite frequently in Middle Ages. It's amazing that they have lived in Poland for over 500 years and still keep tradition. I have seen once a documentary in which they showed whole village where all the inhabitants look probably like their ancestors from 500 years before:) they have wooden Mosques, their own tradition, looks and cusine... but at the same time they feel Polish:)

Probably there have been more Muslims in Poland since the borders have been opened to foreigners. In Krakow for example you can see Kebab places at every corner! You can find there Egyptian, Turkish man...

I have, however, met only one person who turned to Islam. She is a wife of my Arabic teacher (who is an Arabic student in Krakow). He told me he knows more cases like this... But honestly it is not a big thing here yet - or at least not that much discussed. You can hear more about Polish women who got married and started to live in one of Arabic countries.
