My local bead store lady has quite the eye - and luck - with suppliers from places. She recently acquired some new strands of gemstones, among them some gorgeously flashy little rondelles labeled "black sapphire". They sparkle like some of the "black diamond" strands I've seen, or like they have a coating similar to the titanium bonding of mystic topaz, but I've never heard of "black sapphire" before. Anyone here have nay guesses as to what it is?
