Even if you put the lid down the germs spray up and out about 30 feet in all directions so if you have a small bathroom and the towels hang in the bathroom they pick up the germs from every flush! this is why I keep the clean towels in the draws and dont keep the same towel every week... I learned that and other fun facts in a mircobiology class! YUCK!!!!! I am glad I past it the first time because if I had not I dont think I could have stomached a second go round............
