I like to look for the beauty ,too. A person's body is kind of wearing their history. This is also why I am apposed to botox and facial surgery. A mirror check tells you where you've been and helps you chart a course to where you are going. I used to want immediate change and fall into despair, instead of implementing the small steps to fly straight. I think less of us actually judge others than are 'thinking' that others are judging us.

At 10 pounds overweight, I am capable of having fat rolls hang over my jeans. (yes, it looks gross) It comes down to tone. A friend of mine is pushing 230. She is still very active (team sports) and carries her (unhealthy) weight in a way that appears to have more tone than many people do.

New research shows that an active overweight person is healthier than a seditary person with a "proper" weight.
