Actually, I like Starbucks, especially because they're as close in proximity to Barnes & Noble as Denny's is to La Quinta: always right next door.

Their foofy drinks are delicious, but way too fattening, so I always just ice down and sweeten up my own coffee.

I would be very sad if people started bringing their kids in there more often...it's usually a fairly adult-centered atmosphere in which I can dig into my newly purchased novel. Sitting outside, I can even puff on my cancer sticks. Not quite the same experience with a screamer around.
