I always kept a Christmas box also. However, this year we moved in the late summer. With planning the move, and related expenses since we have moved, shopping is a mixed up, sidetracked venture.

The plus side this year is that when I finished my shopping in October, I always managed to need more stuff by December.

Judith, your tradition is interesting! But when you are settled in, Christmas decorating is going to be more special to you than it may have otherwise been. Joy to you. Our Christmas celebrations have always involved a lot of traveling as well.

Our previous home was an old country farmhouse. While we renovated that, we lived in a one bedroom cottage. Not a lot of room for decorations. To add cheer one year, my dad sent us a Christmas tree that filled half the livingroom. It was a beautiful tree. Our tree has been the focal point since.

Being Canadian, if I decorated after Thanksgiving, I would have done, a month ago.
