I would definitely go back and tell my Sr. Prom date "no", because I found out 2 days later that the sweetest guy had wanted to ask me out, but was too shy, and by the time he got his nerve up I was already going with someone else. I would have had a lot more fun with Chad!
Ah Michelle, there are always going to be some decisions we regret- we can't go through every door that is opened to us, we have to make choices with the best information we have at the time. Hindsight is a glorious thing. However the beauty of this one is you can have an untainted daydream about the romantic time you could have had at that prom <img src="/images/graemlins/kiss.gif" alt="" /> the daydream might be more fun & much longer lasting than the date!
Firefly- reading this one as a mum of a teenager here. Sooo difficult to stop silly spats. We are all human & although I pull myself up for it I lose it too! Doesn't mean we love our kids any less or that they stop loving us- thank goodness- but your post is a good reminder that these times are precious.
