My hair is naturally mid-brown and I'm really bored with it. I would like to have my hair colour a light shade of brown. I've bought a bottle of "light golden brown" dye that was supposed to last 8 washes but no colour appeared at all. What is the best thing to use apart from peroxide? Also a few years ago I once tried to get light brown hair only it made my hair brittle and ginger (copper) colour!!! I really didn't want that. I've grown much of this hair out so I can use dye again. I just don't want to make mistakes. The strand tests seem to look better than it does on the rest of my hair.
