Hi Kel,

I am so sorry that you are feeling lost. The important point I would like to make is this: you are still that same passionate person inside, but you have--important word here--TEMPORARILY lost what I call the Wow of Wonder.

Our culture tends to lump all those who have this feeling as "depressed" but that is really unfortunate because those who are lost are the ones who eventually find themselves. ;-)

One of the things you can do to open up your perspective is view this period as one of necessary awareness of the fact that you must be fully engaged in order to be fulfilled. It's not a symptom--it's a reason to celebrate! You've made it to first base in this game of life!

What's next? You must find your way to reconnect to yourself. You're still in there, Kel. You've just become distracted. Now that you see clearly that you're not in touch with your favorite part of yourself--your creativity--you can find your way there. That's second base.

Third base? Figuring out how to integrate your self-awareness in a way that allows you to find your place in the world.

Home: ahhh....you're safe. You're thriving. You're fulfilled. And life keeps handing you things, but you have the confidence, compassion and creativity to see your way through it.

I'm not really a baseball fan, but this seemed like a good way to explain it! ;-)

As for books? Don't rely on recommendations. Head to the self-help section and grab the one that jumps out at YOU. That's the best way to find the perfect book to help you right now. It will be exactly what you need.

Hope this helps. Don't despair. Start thinking about this period as the one that will really launch you. Be grateful for it. Once that happens, everything else will open up--I promise!

Warmly,
Maya
