I'm sorry about your disappointment with the fish. It's hard to leave them in the care of another...but if you want to have a life outside of home...it's a situation that's bound to come up sooner or later. Taking care of fish is a tricky thing, especially if you don't really know what your doing..lol..
I have to leave mine in care of a friend next month for a week...and I have a tank of baby rams that I'm a bit concerned about...but I will not sweat it...I know this lady isn't as knowledgeable as I am and I'll do my best to show her what to do....but if something happens I'm not going to get upset about it. She'll probably feel as badly as I will, if not worse.....oO(she's more important than the fish...she's more important than the fish...she's mor......<img src="/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />) lol...she has a few fish of her own and she's interested in learning more. We have even talked a little bit about starting an aquarium club with another friend who is also interested.
I don't have anyone who knows fish as much as I do to care for them and she's willing and happy to help..we're going to visit my dad during the kid's April vacation. I'll have her over a few times to go through the routine with her..and leave lots of instructions as well.
