I thought I'd kick things off with some Horse Haiku. It's easy. 5 syllables, then 7, then back to 5.

Here's mine:

New horse at the barn,
Will they greet her or be shy?
Sound of whinnies; yes!

four hooves pound the turf
gleaming coat and shiny mane....
canter in the rain - !!

EDIT
Normally, in haiku, the first and last lines should also be adequately sequential to stand on their own as just one line after the other....
