Icelandic composer Johann Johannsson, who scored the films "The Theory of Everything", "Sicario", and "Arrival", died yesterday in Berlin. Johannson was only 48 years old. While many of his collaborators have been taking to Twitter to express their condolences, there is no word yet from director Denis Villeneuve. Johannsson composed the soundtracks for three Villeneuve films and was slated to score "Blade Runner 2049". What exactly happened is a bit mysterious. Johannsson was prevented from making any comment due to contractual obligations, but Hans Zimmer and Benjamin Wallfisch provided the final score used in the film.
