Average movie.
I kept going back to this series with some hope because the first is one of my favorite horror movies (second is bad - third is very bad and the other 2 are horrible - kept getting worst with each films since the sequel). Now that one is not a masterpiece nor is it scary but the gore is good and it is a huge improvement from the previous four movies. They sure did not have to work too hard to turn Danny into one of them. I was looking forward to the female friend's turn to be killed since she was so awful. The girlfriend was killed with her stupidity, I would not say it was the case with her brother he just decided to stay for his sister, me if I had an idiot like that as a sister of whatever I would just let them stay and be killed by inbred cannibals.
The makeup is bad. The acting, directing, editing and music are average. The cinematography, special effects, costumes and script are good. The sets and story are great.
