Need a recipe for an easy No-Knead Bread. I don't care if it has to rise -- just don't want to knead it. I'm weird -- I just have a thing about it. LOL!

Hi Daisybun...I wish I just knew how to make bread. I had a bread maker and couldn't make it even then. I love fresh baked bread.

I did a great bread in the crock pot. It was a beer bread recipe and instead of beer I used sparkling water. It was soooooo good!

For the no-knead bread, go to the link below at King Arthur Flour. It's so easy, even I'm going to try this. My grandfather used to make home made bread all of the time, but I'm of very little patience when it comes to baking..lol..so even I will give this a shot.

Follow this link to KAF home page and type in the search box - no knead bread recipes.

It seemed really easy to me - didn't try last weekend, but maybe this..got things on my mind/plate with work and home. But I want to try it..If you do try before me, let me know how it came or vice versa!

Hi Jana --
Here's the 'NO Beer' Beer Bread Recipe (done in crockpot)
3 cups self-rising flour
1 1/2 cups of sparkling seltzer
3 Tablespoons of sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
4 Tablespoons of butter
METHOD:
Mix all together and place dough in the middle of a greased crockpot that has a circle of parchment cut out and laying on the bottom of the pot.
Place 5 paper towels between the lid and the slow cooker pot. To make sure the steam escapes put a few toothpicks between the paper towels and the edge of the crockpot.
Cook 2 hours and 10 minutes on HIGH. DON'T lift the lid during cooking time.
You can pour melted butter over it while it cools which is what I do or not.
NOTE: Sometimes I just pick up a box of Larry the Cable Guy Beer Bread and add the sparkling water and then butter later. Everything is in the mix so all you have to add is the sparkling water.
