Benefits of Volunteering for Children

What volunteer projects have your children been a part of ?

All four of my children (12,11, 8,7) participated in a read-to-me program where they read to children who are currently living in shelters.

my oldest son (middle school) helps out at garden club at our elementary school. it takes place after school and his bus drops him off on the corner where the school is. he enjoys helping the younger children plan, dig, and learn in the garden.

We have a great organization here called Families Giving Back. They serve families with young children - finding and arranging volunteer activities that they can participate in!
