This article describes the process of developing an effective behavior intervention plan. A behavior intervention plan allows a child to learn a new behavior to replace one that is causing him problems in a setting. Impulsive behaviors may cause problems for some children with Attention Deficit Disorder. If a child with ADD has a behavior that impacts his learning, he may need a BIP.
