With this year's overlapping allergy and cold season, I need all the help I can get to keep my immune system strong. But I prefer natural means if possible. Ever since I started focusing on boosting my immune system through diet and exercise, we only rarely even get a cold. I think focusing on veggies in the diet and avoiding packaged and processed foods is a good start, and as you mentioned, avoiding sugar and doing basic health things such as getting enough sleep.
